Basic Lifesaving Skills (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Designed for today’s Healthcare and Public Safety Professionals, Red Cross or American Heart BLS delivers the training and certification you need to help drive better patient outcomes.
This new and innovative program incorporates important learning and development concepts such as critical thinking, problem solving, and reflection and debriefing. BLS will equip you and your crews with the ability to immediately recognize life-threatening emergencies and respond – from administering CPR, using an AED, relieving an obstructed airway and more.
Consistent with the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals including Physicians, Nurses, Dental and Pharmacy Professionals, Physical Therapists, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Police Officers, Firefighters, and Athletic and Fitness Trainers.
BLS is an instructor-led format. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year “Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers” digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.
